Beware Scammers – We Will Expose You!
We received the following scam email into our general inbox the other day:
I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE
My name is Miss Jennifer Brown Marisa looking for a trustworthy and sincer ,honest someone like you who can help us in this time of needs.
May God bless you. PLEASE CONTACTS ME THROUGH MY PRIVATE EMAIL ADDRESS: brown_jen45@yahoo.fr
with her loving arms

That’s it word for word.
Now first of all we don’t know any ‘Jennifer Brown Marisa’ so how does she know we’re sincere and honest (although we are). And that point’s even more relevant seeing as it went to our general inbox and not our personal ones.
No doubt if we replied to ‘Jennifer’ and her ‘loving arms’ we’d find ourselves entering into some long discourse where she declared her undying love for us, wanted to come and live with us, but… needed lots and lots of money so she could get a passport, leave her home country, help her sick relative, pay her phone-bill and who knows what else.
Of course we’d never meet ‘Jennifer’ (who could actually be a man posing as a woman), but we would get to witness our bank balances being rapidly drained.
So we think we’ll pass on helping this damsel in distress, but thanks for giving us the material to expose you. Something which we’ll happily do for anyone else who sends us a scam email.
